Vision

DAY 23

this year, 2012, i celebrate every authentic, genuine, truth of being, living, & people who inspire authenticity!

*paul gaugin said: "civilisation is what makes you sick. in art all who have done something other than their predecessors have merited the epithet of revolutionary, & it is they alone who are masters!"

this gets me right between the eyes every time i read it!

living authentically, without copy, without duplication, without repetition, without comparison!!!

*claude monet said: "the motif is insignificant for me, what i want to represent is what lies between the motif & me."

living authentically in truth!

*winston churchill said: "a pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."
"to improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often."
"success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."
"courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality that guarantees all others."
"continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential."
"NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP!"

*edgar allan poe said: "the true genius shudders at incompleteness - & usually prefers silence to saying something which is not everything it should be."
"they who dream by day are cognisant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."
"we loved with a love that was more than love."
"were i called on to define, very briefly, the term art, i should call it 'the reproduction of what the senses perceive in nature through the veil of the soul. the mere imitation, however accurate, of what is in nature entitles no man to the sacred name of 'artist.'"

*jackson pollock said: "abstract painting is abstract. it confronts you. there was a reviewer a while back who wrote that my pictures didn't have any beginning or any end. he didn't mean it as a compliment, but it was."
"i have no fear of making changes, destroying the image, etc, because the painting has a life of its own."
"a modern artist is working with space & time, & expressing his feelings rather than illustrating."
"the modern artist... is working & expressing an inner world - in other words - expressing the energy, the motion, & other inner forces."

i trust that these words will inspire an authentic growth & journey into dimensions unimaginable in the past, thrusting us into our authentic destiny & truth.

infinite happiness...

Wow! great words......

there is also something alive about this red & black pic.
when I focus just above its top border the picture has the appearance of "growing" in size. amazing!
